Number of proposals submitted FETOPEN-03-2018-2019-2020 (CSA) cut-off: 8/10/2019
In response to the call for proposals for H2020-FETOPEN-2018-2020 topic FETOPEN-03-2018-2019-2020 (Coordination and Support Action - CSA) – FET-Open Launchpad, cut-off date of 8 October 2019, 26 proposals were submitted. The indicative topic budget for this cut-off date is €2.7 million.
The information is available at the FETOPEN-03-2018-2019-2020 call page on the Horizon 2020 Funding and Tender Portal under ‘call updates’.
The call Future and Emerging Technologies FETOPEN-03-2018-2019-2020 (CSA) is part of the European Innovation Council pilot and also known as EIC Pathfinder.
The next cut-off date is 14 October 2020 with an indicative topic budget of €3 million.

Autoship - a new and durable way of freight transport
Autoship is, as the name suggests, an acronym for autonomous ship. Just like with self-driving cars, the possibilities of an unmanned boat seem endless. It can create more efficient freight transport, around the clock deliveries and these are just a few of the examples. The project has two societal challenges.
At first, De Vlaamse Waterweg was a bit hesitant as their experience with FP7 or Horizon 2020 projects was limited and they had not been very successful up until then. The fact that they were already doing basic research on the topic of autonomous boats, and the administrative help of NCP FLanders helped De Vlaamse waterweg to cross the line and get involved.
