iCARE4CVD: Thomas More participates in research on improving patient care

Funded under Horizon Europe’s Innovative Health Initiative (HORIZON-JU-IHI-2022-02-01) and running from 2023 to 2028, the iCARE4CVD project aims to improve patient care across the board, starting from those at risk of developing cardiovascular disease to those with advanced heart failure. Thomas More University of Applied Sciences plays an important role in the project focusing data analysis and AI modeling as well as on the implementation of Patient-Reported Outcome Measures and Patient-Reported Experience Measures. Code4Europe: Digitale Wolven participates in research focused on widening digital literacy

Digitale Wolven, a Belgian non-profit organisation, forms the national hub for Belgium and the Netherlands in the Digital Europe project Code4Europe. Code4Europe aims to form a generation that is comfortable with digital tools and confident enough to build with them by widening digital literacy, making coding accessible to people who would otherwise never try it, and encouraging young people to picture themselves working in the digital sector.

Flanders Make coordinates Horizon Europe Cluster 4 project PROSPECTS 5.0 which analyses how Industry 5.0 principles are being adopted across 14 real‑world industrial use cases in multiple sectors and countries. The consortium partners, among which also KU Leuven, UGent and Flemish SME OCTAVE, translate the gained insights into practical guidance and policy-relevant outputs.

The Horizon Europe project PLEDGE investigates the emotional dynamics of political protest in the context of multiple, overlapping crises that have affected Europe and the world over the past decade, including the financial crisis, the COVID‑19 pandemic, climate change, energy shortages, and the war in Ukraine. The project, in which the Vrije Universiteit Brussel (VUB) is participating, responded to call topic HORIZON-CL2-2023-DEMOCRACY-01-04.

Funded under Horizon Europe (HORIZON-HLTH-2024-CARE-14-01), running from 2025 to 2029, the THERESA PCP aims to launch a pre-commercial procurement process (PCP) based on the development of an environmentally sustainable on-site system to decontaminate hospital wastewater. ANERIS - Next generation tools for sensing and monitoring marine-life

Funded under Horizon Europe (HORIZON-INFRA-2022-TECH-01) and running from 2023 to 2026, the ANERIS project aims to tackle the rapid loss of ocean biodiversity. The project’s main objective is to develop, test and implement the next generation of scientific instrumentation tools and methods for sensing and monitoring marine-life. Another key concept of the project is the introduction of the concept of Operational Marine Biology (OMB) as a biodiversity information system.
