The Global Health EDCTP3 calls for proposals for 2023 have been published on the Funding and Tenders Portal. 
The second work programme of the Global Health EDCTP3 Joint Undertaking can also be found on the Commission’s EDCTP website, including the description of the calls for proposals for 2023. 

Key dates for the 2023 Global Health EDCTP3 calls:

Single-stage topics

Opening date: 10 May 2023 - Deadline date: 29 June 2023

Two-stage topics

Opening date: 27 June 2023 - Deadline stage 1: 28 September 2023  - Deadline stage 2: 28 March 2024

ROOT - Rolling Out OSNMA for the secure synchronization of Telecom networks

The ROOT project obtained funding under Horizon 2020 topic ‘EGNSS applications fostering societal resilience and protecting the environment’. The project, which ran from November 2020 to July 2022,  aimed to demonstrate the benefit of Galileo OSNMA signal to increase the robustness of critical telecom infrastructures.

The Flanders-based company Septentrio contributed substantially to completing this objective together with the other ROOT partners. The results of the project partially close a gap in the security of telecommunication networks dependent on satellite-derived time, with indirect benefits in curbing illegal attempts to disrupt network services.
