The European Commission is organising a dedicated info & pitching session on the upcoming call for Specialised Education Programmes in Key Capacity Areas.
The European Commission will open the new call for proposals on Advanced Digital Skills on 4 July, with a total budget of 55 million EUR.
The Commission calls for projects to develop bachelor’s, master's and doctoral programmes and related stand-alone modules focusing virtual worlds, edge computing, quantum computing, photonics, and robotics and automatisation, and for interdisciplinary programmes targeted at the acquisition of advanced green digital skills in the specific sectors related to the green transition: agriculture, transport, renewable energy and waste management as well as for the acquisition of advanced digital skills for the government and public sector.

Professor Lieven Eeckhout’s main research interests include computer architecture and the hardware/software interface with a specific emphasis on performance evaluation and modeling, and dynamic resource management.
Professor Eeckhout is the recipient of a European Research Council (ERC) Starting grant, Advanced grant and three Proof of Concept grants. Two of his former PhD students founded in 2013 CoScale, a spin-off in data center monitoring, which was acquired by New Relic.
