A new template for the EIC Enhanced Accelerator Pilot – SME instrument (former SME instrument call phase 2) was made available on 6 June and has to be used for the next cut-offs (9 October 2019, 8 January 2020, 18 March 2020, 19 May 2020, 7 October 2020). The novelties in the proposal template for the SME instrument call phase 2 in the EIC Enhanced Accelerator Pilot are among others the following:
- the budget table is more elaborate than before
- the pitch check has to be provided (part B document 4 - annex 5)
- under the implementation criterion an explanation of equity has to be provided if blended finance is requested
The template is available on the SME Instrument call page on the Horizon 2020 Funding and Tender Portal under ‘topic conditions and documents’.
The proposal template for the SME Instrument phase 1 call with final cut-off on 5 September 2019 has not changed. The latest version dates from 30 October 2018.

If you’ve never heard of Limecraft, you’re clearly not working in the media sector. Their SaaS platform provides integrated workflows for media management, scripted and unscripted TV, and subtitling and localisation. It is used by leading broadcasting companies – such as BBC, VRT, NPO… – and production firms of which De Mensen or Hotel Hungaria might ring a bell (at least if you are Belgian).
NCP Flanders went to Ghent to interview Maarten Verwaest, CEO and cofounder, about how he sees Horizon 2020. Limecraft is a partner in the MeMAD project, which is a collaborative RIA project submitted to an ICT call topic.
