About this programme

Innovation in SMEs provides SME-tailored support to stimulate all forms of innovation in SMEs, targeting those with the potential to grow and internationalise across the single market and beyond.

Background information about this programme can be found in the Workprogramme beneath, containing in 2019-2020 mainly INNOSUP topics.

These actions are designed to provide opportunities to Member States and regions to enhance their services through collaboration, and peer-learning. The emphasis is on further testing new approaches for better innovation support, such as blockchain technologies, workplace innovation, a network for Open Innovation, training on advanced manufacturing, experimentation in innovation agencies and a tool for investors in financing SMEs.

The EIC pilot was launched on 27th October 2017. The Enhanced European Innovation Council (EIC) pilot aims to support top-class innovators, start-ups, small companies and researchers with bright ideas that are radically different from existing products, services or business models, are highly risky and have the potential to scale up internationally.

All information related to the EIC pilot can be found on the dedicated EIC pilot programme page on this website.
