The Annual European Association for International Education (EAIE) Conference is Europe's most comprehensive international higher education event, gathering over 6,000 professionals from all over the globe.
This year’s conference and exhibition, “En Route!”, is taking place in Toulouse from 17 to 20 September 2024. The conference gathers higher education practitioners and academics engaged in and committed to strengthening international cooperation through projects, partnerships, research, peer learning and exchange of good practice.
The European Commission’s Directorate-General for Education, Youth, Sport and Culture (DG EAC) will be present at the conference both at the EAIE Exhibition and as part of the conference programme. DG EAC will organise or speak in more than 10 sessions, covering a range of topics on Erasmus+, MSCA and international cooperation.
The full programme can be consulted on the wepage of the conference and DG EAC and MSCA presence at the conference on the MSCA website.

The RUSTICA project obtained funding under Horizon 2020, more in particular under the topic ‘Closing nutrient cycles’. RUSTICA focuses on demonstration and implementation of circular bio-based nutrient valorisation chains, focusing on waste from the fruit and vegetable agro-food system. The project kicked off in 2021 and will run until 2024. It will use a strong multi-actor approach to co-create both socio-economic and technological knowledge in four case study regions in Europe and one in Colombia. The Flanders-based company DRANCO is one of the project partners and acts as technical project manager for the entire project. DRANCO participates in the project to develop its own technologies, to network and to help make the transition to a more circular based economy.
