Commission seeks feedback on the future European Research Area (ERA) Act

The Commission launched the "Call for Evidence" to improve the general environment for generating innovation, reducing fragmentation and boosting the EU’s competitiveness. This initiative aims to strengthen R&D investment and bring it up to the 3% GDP target. It will focus research support more on strategic priorities, strengthen alignment between the EU and Member States’ funding priorities, and promote the free movement of knowledge and talent across Europe. The Call for Evidence (describing the problem, the need of this action, the policy options, ..) is the first step of the consultation process. The next step entails a public stakeholder consultation on questions regarding the ERA Act specific intervention areas, that will follow this call for evidence.    For more details and how to give feedback: website link  Deadline for input: 10 September 2025

Water4All Announces new Call on 'Water and Health'

Water4All, a European co-funded partnership, is a funding programme for scientific research in freshwater. It aims to tackle water challenges to face climate change, help to achieve the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals and boost the EU’s competitiveness and growth. The network has pre-announced a new call for research proposals focusing on ‘Water and Health’. The call is planned to officially open on 12 September 2025. Research and innovation proposals submitted under the Water4All 2025 Joint Transnational Call are required to address at least one of the following topics: Topic 1: Waterborne contaminants & health risks: occurrence, behaviour, interactions and vulnerability; Topic 2: Innovative tools and technologies for Water quality and exposure monitoring; Topic 3: Water treatment and exposure mitigation; Topic 4: Governance, socio-economic innovation, and policy integration for water and health. Applications will be submitted by the coordinator. Each consortium participant will be funded by the Funding Partner Organisation from their country/region participating in the 2025 Joint Transnational Call. Participants are therefore subject to eligibility criteria of national/regional funding organisations. Each consortium must involve at least a minimum of three (3) eligible partners that request funding from participating Funding Partner Organisations (FPOs) from three different countries. at least two independent legal entities from two different EU Member States or Horizon Europe Associated Countries as recipients of the financial support. a maximum of seven (7) partners (including 1 self- funded partner). Funding will come from various national and regional organizations, including the FWO for Flanders (and the FNRS for the French speaking Belgian community). Details about eligibility, evaluation criteria, and a full description of the themes will be published when the call officially launches. This annotated template serves as a comprehensive guide for innovators, researchers, entrepreneurs, and organizations navigating the complexities of the EIC Transition framework. It provides detailed annotations and structured guidelines to: -Support during the application process-Clarify eligibility criteria, funding mechanisms, and evaluation metrics-Offer strategic insights and practical tips from successful applicants-Help align your project with the EIC’s strategic priorities The template is released as part of the Access2EIC project that provides more annotated templates for different stages in the EIC application processes. 2025 EU4Health Work Programme published

The Commission has recently adopted the EU4Health Work Programme for 2025. The Work Programme supports the EU’s priorities in health policy, to protect citizens and boost innovation in Europe. Among the areas of focus are cardiovascular health, digital health, cancer, health technology assessment, crisis preparedness, medicines and medical devices and substances of human origin. The EU4Health programme provides funding through grants and public procurement to contribute to a healthier Europe.The Commission will draw on synergies with other EU funding programmes, such as Horizon Europe, Digital Europe Programme or European Social Fund Plus, to optimise the EU’s health investments.Consult the 2025 EU4Health Work Programme here.

Call for tender: Continuation of the European Digital Media Observatory

On 28 July 2025, the European Commission has opened a call for tener for the continuation of the European Digital Media Observatory (EDMO). EDMO is a multidisciplinary community, serving as a collaborative platform for fact-checkers, researchers and media literacy experts. Under this call for tenders of up to €2.56 million, EDMO should focus on and further develop its activities related to monitoring and analysing the online information environment, as well as detect and expose disinformation campaigns, with the aim of contributing to situational awareness across the EU. Its work should also focus on contributing to election integrity and increasing societal resilience. Visit the Funding & Tenders Portal for more details on the call. Micado - Migrant Integration Cockpits and Dashboards

Atlas Integratie & Inburgering Antwerpen is an autonomous agency and a non-profit organisation responsible for implementing the Flemish integration policy on behalf of and for the City of Antwerp. Atlas offers several types of services for newcomers and Antwerp’s public and non-profit organisations.

In 2018, under the leadership of HafenCity University Hamburg, Atlas participated in the H2020 call 'Addressing the challenge of migrant integration through ICT-enabled solutions'. The proposal 'MICADO - Migrant Integration Cockpits and Dashboards' was approved by the European Commission and the project started in January 2019 and runs until June 2022.
