EIT Climate is looking for Green Horizons network ambassadors

The EIT (European Institute of Innovation and Technology) wants the three corners of the knowledge triangle to join forces to create succesful businesses. They consist of ten knowledge and innovation communities (KIC) each focussing on a specific sector.  The KIC on Climate previously launched the 'Green Horizons farmers network', which fosters collaboration between young farmers and more experienced professionals (ambassadors) to help them overcome the challenges of the current times, such as sudden weather changes or volatile prices. The KIC Climate is now looking for new ambassadors. If you are a farmer advisor, landscape manager or similar professional and passionate about sustainable agriculture, be sure to put forward your candidacy on this website.

Survey - EU Roadmap on Post-Quantum Cryptography

The NIS Cooperation Group has launched a survey to collect feedback aimed at guiding the future steps towards implementing quantum-safe cryptography in Europe. This initiative follows the release of the "Coordinated Implementation Roadmap for the Transition to Post-Quantum Cryptography (PQC)". Quantum computing poses significant challenges to data security, and the European Commission aims to collaborate with stakeholders to address these challenges. The public consultation aims to gather input from providers of critical infrastructures, industry stakeholders, and academia. Participants are encouraged to review the existing roadmap and submit concrete proposals, especially those addressing specific sector challenges. Suggestions may include mentioning open-source tools that can assist in this transition. Feedback will be accepted until 29 September 2025 (18:00 CEST). Contributions will be reviewed and promising proposals may be invited to provide further details and input for the updated roadmap. For more information and the link to the survey, please visit the dedidated website. Background: The Network and Information Systems Cooperation Group (NIS Cooperation Group) was established by the NIS Directive to ensure cooperation and information exchange among Member States, the European Commission and the EU Agency for cybersecurity (ENISA). Among the key outputs of the NIS Cooperation Group, there are non-binding guidelines to the EU Members States to allow effective and coherent implementation of the NIS Directive across the EU and to address wider cybersecurity policy issues.

Commission seeks feedback on the future European Research Area (ERA) Act

This initiative aims to strengthen R&D investment and bring it up to the 3% GDP target. The Call for Evidence (describing the problem, the need of this action, the policy options, ..) is the first step of the consultation process. The next step entails a public stakeholder consultation on questions regarding the ERA Act specific intervention areas, that will follow this call for evidence.    For more details and how to give feedback: website link  Deadline for input: 10 September 2025

EITHOS - European Identity Theft Observatory System

The EITHOS project, funded under Horizon Europe Cluster 3 call “Online identity theft is countered”, aims to develop a “European Identity Theft Observatory System” (EITHOS). The system will provide easy access to information and intelligence about previous and current identity theft related trends to empower EU citizens, Law Enforcements Agencies (LEAs), and policy makers to further contribute to the prevention, detection, and investigation of crimes related to online identity theft. The Cyber and Data Security Lab (CDSL), part of the Law, Science, Technology and Society (LSTS) Research Group at Vrije Universiteit Brussel (VUB), is one of the 12 partners in the EITHOS consortium, contributing its vast expertise on legal aspects of data protection, cybersecurity and information security law and policy.
