Consultation on synergies between Horizon 2020 and ESIF in EOSC Partnership
The EOSC-Pillar is about to launch a consultation towards National initiatives and Member States on synergies and complementarities between Horizon 2020 and European Structural and Investment Funds (ESIF), in cooperation with ERA-Learn.
The objective of the consultation is twofold:
- to understand how these synergies, during the current programming period, have contributed to implement or upgrade EOSC-related infrastructures and resources,
- to provide input to the new programming period of the Structural Funds to support participation in the future European Partnership.
The consultation, which is going to be conducted from 20 July to 10 August, will identify use cases where national and regional funding in the current programming has enhanced and facilitated the participation of the different partners in EOSC-related initiatives and consequently in the future partnership.

SAPHIRe - Securing the Adoption of Personalised Medicin in Regions
The Department of Economy, Science and Innovation of the Flemish government coordinates the Horizon 2020 Coordination and Support Action SAPHIRe, which started on 1 December 2018. The aim of the project is to secure the adoption of personalised medicine in all European regions, including sparsely populated and remote regions and regions with different innovation capacities.
The activities of SAPHIRe are complementary to the smart specialisation partnership on personalised medicine – S3P4PM, which is also coordinated by the Department of Economy, Science and Innovation.
