ProgrammesDigital Europe funded project CIRCAT has opened its first call for Financial Support to Third Parties (cascade funding) on Penetration Testing Scenarios Development.
The project is looking for looking for applications from National Cybersecurity Authorities (NCAs), National Coordination Centres, large industrial installations, Operators of Essential Services (OES), governmental entities, and other relevant stakeholders with the capacity to aggregate demand. Eligible applicants include SMEs, mid-caps, large companies, research centres (including universities), and public bodies.
Selected beneficiaries have to develop testing scenarios for Networks, Applications, Virtualisation, Cloud, Industrial Control Systems (ICS), and IoT within CIRCAT prioritised verticals: Energy, Health, Public Administration, Digital infrastructure, ICT Service management (B2B) and the Financial market infrastructure. Applications must address large industrial operators.
Financial Support and Benefits:
Maximum Grant: Up to €40,000.00 per project (Lump Sum).
Funding Rate: 50% co-funding (applicants must cover the remaining 50% through their own resources).
Non-Financial Support: Access to the CIRCAT Mentoring Programme, including technical guidance, tool repositories, and networking with the European cybersecurity ecosystem.
Deadline to submit applications is 9 July 2026.

Professor Inez Germeys leads the Center for Contextual Psychiatry at KU Leuven, which is a large multi-disciplinary research group focusing on the interaction between the person and the environment in the development of psychopathology. She has received a European Research Council (ERC) Consolidator grant (INTERACT) and Proof of Concept grant (IMPACT). With these grants professor Germeys and her team researched a new mobile self-management therapy for patients with a psychotic disorder. The Acceptance and Commitment Therapy in Daily Life (ACT-DL) was further developed for the clinical environment. In line with that the Horizon 2020 IMMERSE project aims to thoroughly evaluate strategies, processes, and outcomes of implementing a digital mobile mental health solution.
