ProgrammesFollowing the liquidation of EIT Manufacturing in March 2026, the European Institute of Innovation and Technology (EIT) is taking steps to protect students. 28DIGITAL, an EIT Knowledge and Innovation Community (KIC), will award the EIT Label certificate to students currently enrolled in the five EIT Manufacturing's Master School programmes, ensuring that their qualifications are formally recognised without interruption.
Students enrolled in the former EIT Manufacturing Master School programmes will receive diplomas from both their entry and exit universities, as well as the EIT Label certificate, awarded by 28DIGITAL. This measure protects the value of students' qualifications and ensures that there is no disruption to the credentialing process.
It is important to clarify that this decision applies strictly to students enrolled in the 2023–2025 and 2024–2026 cohorts and does not apply to future students of the five Master’s programmes.

The METHYLOMIC project, ‘targeting hope for personalised medicine in immune-mediated inflammatory diseases’ obtained funding from Horizon Europe’s Health Cluster. The project aims to personalise treatment allocation and enhance the effectiveness of medications for chronic immune-mediated diseases such as Crohn’s disease, rheumatoid arthritis, and psoriasis. BIRD, the Belgian inflammatory bowel disease research and development group, is a partner in the project and is involved in the OmiCrohn trial, a prospective randomised clinical trial for individualised therapy in Crohn’s disease patients. With BIRD’s active role in this trial, the project is set to deliver predictive, biomarker-based therapies that bring renewed hope for Crohn’s disease patients across Europe.
