New European Bauhaus calls in Mission Work Programme
The amended version of the Mission Work Programme has been published on the Funding and Tenders Portal. As part of the amendment, the Mission Work Programme includes the addition of a new destination for the New European Bauhaus. The European Union wants to put the New European Bauhaus (NEB) on a stable footing going forward as a self-standing Facility anchored in the Horizon Europe Strategic Plan 2025-2027. This New European Bauhaus destination will therefore pave the way for the New European Bauhaus Facility to be set in place from 2025 onwards.
The New European Bauhaus destination includes 3 call topics:
- HORIZON-MISS-2024-NEB-01-01: Exploiting the potential of secondary bio-based products
- HORIZON-MISS-2024-NEB-01-02: New governance models for the co-design and coconstruction of public spaces in neighbourhoods by communities
- HORIZON-MISS-2024-NEB-01-03: Setting up a New European Bauhaus hub for results and impact
The call topics will open on 7 May 2024 and will close on 19 September 2024.

STARGATE - Sustainable Aviation
The Stargate project obtained funding under the special Green Deal call of Horizon 2020, more in particular under the topic of “green ports and airports”. It received the maximum score of the evaluators and was selected out of more than 40 projects. Stargate’s purpose is to prove that sustainable aviation is possible and happening. It focuses on the further decarbonization of the aviation industry, the improvement of local environmental quality and the stimulation of the modal split. Together with a consortium of 21 European partners with a diverse and rich expertise (airports, community partners, knowledge institutions, consultants, local governments, …), Brussels Airports takes the lead as lighthouse airport to develop and implement innovative solutions. Results that prove successful can be deployed at the fellow airports (Toulouse, Budapest, Athens). Over the course of the coming five years, the consortium will exchange knowledge to investigate and realize more than 30 concrete projects.
