ProgrammesEIT Food’s proof-of-concept co-financing instrument is designed to help agrifood startups move their ideas towards market-ready solutions by reducing the financial risk of early collaboration with corporate partners.
Eligible proposals should involve a startup and a prospective corporate client, with total project costs of less than €60,000. EIT Food states that projects need to show a clear pathway to commercial success, and activities should be directly linked to the proposed proof-of-concept or pilot.
Applications are assessed by expert panels after each cut-off date. The two deadlines are 31 July 2026 and 30 November 2026, with the latter being the final deadline for now. For more information, please consult the website of the call.
We offer news and event updates, covering all domains and topics of Horizon Europe, Digital Europe & EDF (and occasionally, for ongoing projects, Horizon 2020).

If you’ve never heard of Limecraft, you’re clearly not working in the media sector. Their SaaS platform provides integrated workflows for media management, scripted and unscripted TV, and subtitling and localisation. It is used by leading broadcasting companies – such as BBC, VRT, NPO… – and production firms of which De Mensen or Hotel Hungaria might ring a bell (at least if you are Belgian).
NCP Flanders went to Ghent to interview Maarten Verwaest, CEO and cofounder, about how he sees Horizon 2020. Limecraft is a partner in the MeMAD project, which is a collaborative RIA project submitted to an ICT call topic.
