Following the liquidation of EIT Manufacturing in March 2026, the European Institute of Innovation and Technology (EIT) is taking steps to protect students. 28DIGITAL, an EIT Knowledge and Innovation Community (KIC), will award the EIT Label certificate to students currently enrolled in the five EIT Manufacturing's Master School programmes, ensuring that their qualifications are formally recognised without interruption.

Students enrolled in the former EIT Manufacturing Master School programmes will receive diplomas from both their entry and exit universities, as well as the EIT Label certificate, awarded by 28DIGITAL. This measure protects the value of students' qualifications and ensures that there is no disruption to the credentialing process.

It is important to clarify that this decision applies strictly to students enrolled in the 2023–2025 and 2024–2026 cohorts and does not apply to future students of the five Master’s programmes.
