Programmes Agro-Food, Environment MissionsThe SpongeWorks project aims to demonstrate practical, effective, economically feasible and socially inclusive integrated approaches and sustainable solutions that enhance the sponge functioning of interconnected ground-water, soil, and surface water systems at the regional scale.
The objective of the open call is to support the transfer of knowledge from SpongeWorks to the selected associated regions, allowing them to benefit from the demonstration activities and solutions developed as part of the project.
Who can apply?
Local and regional authorities, as well as river basin organisations and authorities, from EU member states and Horizon Europe associated countries, except Austria, France, Germany, Greece, the Netherlands and the United Kingdom.

Submission Deadline: 31 January 2025 18:00 (CET)
Expected duration of participation: Projects are expected to start in May 2025 and last up to 33 months.
Total funding available: 800 000,00 €

The AgrifoodTEF, funded under the Digital Europe call for a Testing and Experimentation Facility for Agri-Food, is a network of world-class testing and experimentation facilities (TEFs) in the agri-food sector that supports testing state-of-the-art data, AI, and robotics solutions in real-world environments to accelerate their market introduction. ILVO, Flanders Research Institute for Agriculture, Fisheries and Food, the Flemish node of the AgriFoodTEF supports the entire agri-food business, leveraging its infrastructures, experience and vast network established through participation in numerous Digital Europe and Horizon Europe initiatives.
