The EU Commission has added a new lump sum detailed budget table to some call topics under HORIZON-CL6-2026-01, which is embedded directly in the Part A application forms.

This means that applicants to the concerned lump sum topics will no longer need to fill out and upload the lump sum budget Excel file.

The lump sum budget table in the online Part A forms requires the same level of information as the Excel template, and the budget will be assessed in the same way as before. Detailed instructions on how to fill in the budget table are included in the online form itself.

As the roll-out of the online table is gradual, the new budget table format will not be applied to all lump sum topics immediately. During the transition time, there will be lump sum topics with the Excel file or with the online budget form running in parallel.

At the time of publication of this news article, the online budget table already applies to the following HORIZON-CL6-2026-01 call topics:

ScreenME - Enhancing excellence in screen media entrepreneurship

The Horizon2020 twinning project ScreenME has as its objective to enhance excellence in screen media entrepreneurship at Tallinn University (TLU). To do so, ScreenME has established a network of universities across Europe that aim to improve research into and teaching of entrepreneurship for the screen media industry. ScreenME will develop a teaching course and will kick off research initiatives and projects on entrepreneurial activities in media organisations. The research group on ‘Studies in Media, Innovation and Technology (SMIT)’ of the Vrije Universiteit Brussel (VUB) is partner in the network and is involved in two cross-cutting activities of the project: support for early stage researchers and developing stakeholder involvement.
