MIP4Adapt, the platform supporting the implementation of the EU Mission on Adaptation to Climate Change, is inviting climate adaptation experts from across Europe to express their interest in joining a new Roster of Experts. The initiative aims to strengthen knowledge exchange, collaboration and implementation support across Europe’s climate adaptation community.

The Roster of Experts forms part of the EU Mission on Adaptation’s efforts to strengthen knowledge exchange, collaboration and implementation support across Europe's climate adaptation community. The roster will bring together specialists from research, policy, and practice to support climate adaptation action across the Mission Community. It will help connect regional and local Authorities, Mission Projects and other stakeholders with trusted expertise, while creating opportunities for experts to contribute to Mission activities and knowledge sharing.

Applications received by 31 July 2026 will be reviewed as part of the first assessment round, with successful applicants being included in the initial launch of the roster in September. Applications will continue to be accepted after this date as the roster expands over time. If you are interested, please visit the Portal of the EU Mission on Adaptation to Climate Change.

STARGATE - Sustainable Aviation

The Stargate project obtained funding under the special Green Deal call of Horizon 2020, more in particular under the topic of “green ports and airports”.  It received the maximum score of the evaluators and was selected out of more than 40 projects. Stargate’s purpose is to prove that sustainable aviation is possible and happening. It focuses on the further decarbonization of the aviation industry, the improvement of local environmental quality and the stimulation of the modal split. Together with a consortium of 21 European partners with a diverse and rich expertise (airports, community partners, knowledge institutions, consultants, local governments, …), Brussels Airports takes the lead as lighthouse airport to develop and implement innovative solutions. Results that prove successful can be deployed at the fellow airports (Toulouse, Budapest, Athens). Over the course of the coming five years, the consortium will exchange knowledge to investigate and realize more than 30 concrete projects.
