PRISM has opened its first call for proposals on paediatric multinational investigator-initiated clinical studies. Selected projects are designed to receive end-to-end support for studies across Europe and Canada.

PRISM is a Horizon Europe-funded consortium that aims to strengthen multinational paediatric research by offering infrastructure and expertise to investigator-initiated studies. Through this open call, PRISM is seeking to pilot paediatric clinical studies, which will be selected through an independent two-stage evaluation process.

Eligible proposals include pragmatic investigator-initiated randomised controlled trials comparing or improving therapeutic, diagnostic or preventive healthcare strategies, as well as prospective observational cohort studies. Studies must be carried out in 3 to 6 countries across the EU, Norway, Switzerland, the United Kingdom and Canada, with a maximum of 15 sites.

According to the call page, the maximum study duration is 30 months. Requested budgets may range from €1 million to €2 million for interventional studies, or up to €1 million for observational studies. Information, including the call text and application guidelines, is available on the call page. The deadline for letters of intent (first stage) is 31 December 2026; the deadline for full applications (second stage) is 30 June 2027.

Questions can be sent to the PRISM Joint Call Secretariat at call2026@prismeu.org.

Limecraft - Powerful workflows for video products

If you’ve never heard of Limecraft, you’re clearly not working in the media sector. Their SaaS platform provides integrated workflows for media management, scripted and unscripted TV, and subtitling and localisation. It is used by leading broadcasting companies – such as BBC, VRT, NPO… – and production firms of which De Mensen or Hotel Hungaria might ring a bell (at least if you are Belgian).

NCP Flanders went to Ghent to interview Maarten Verwaest, CEO and cofounder, about how he sees Horizon 2020. Limecraft is a partner in the MeMAD project, which is a collaborative RIA project submitted to an ICT call topic.
