The European Partnership for Personalised Medicine (EP PerMed) is about to launch the joint transnational call 2027 (JTC2027) “Cell and Gene Therapy for Personalised Medicine”. The call opens on 4 November 2026.

Proposals must focus on the development and validation of an innovative and novel cell and gene therapy for personalised medicine.

The call aims to fund multinational, innovative research projects in personalised medicine, which should bring together academic, clinical/public health and private research teams. The JTC2027 will be conducted simultaneously by the participating funding organisations in their respective region/country and coordinated centrally by the Joint Call Secretariat. The call will be implemented in two stages.

Research Foundation Flanders (FWO) plans to participate in this call. More information on available funding for researchers based in Flanders and on how to apply will become available on the FWO website upon launch of the call. Deadline for the submission of pre-proposals is 20 January 2027. Questions on available funding by FWO? Contact europe@fwo.be.

All detailed information about the call and how to apply is available on the EP PerMed dedicated webpage. A partnering tool is also available. Interested in applying? Join the information webinar on 3 December 2026 here.
