Programmes Digital, Industry & Space Digital EuropeThe European Commission (DG CNECT) has launched three surveys on future EU investment needs in the research, innovation and deployment of digital technologies and capabilities. The surveys are part of two ongoing studies, in preparation of the next Multiannual Financial Framework (2028-2034): one on the research, development and innovation of strategic digital technologies beyond 2027 and another on the deployment (integration, application and roll-out) of digital technologies and infrastructures and related skills development.
The surveys cover a broad range of digital technological areas, ranging from semiconductors and photonics to artificial intelligence, data, high performance computing and many others.
All surveys are open until 23 May 2025.

Professor Inez Germeys leads the Center for Contextual Psychiatry at KU Leuven, which is a large multi-disciplinary research group focusing on the interaction between the person and the environment in the development of psychopathology. She has received a European Research Council (ERC) Consolidator grant (INTERACT) and Proof of Concept grant (IMPACT). With these grants professor Germeys and her team researched a new mobile self-management therapy for patients with a psychotic disorder. The Acceptance and Commitment Therapy in Daily Life (ACT-DL) was further developed for the clinical environment. In line with that the Horizon 2020 IMMERSE project aims to thoroughly evaluate strategies, processes, and outcomes of implementing a digital mobile mental health solution.
