ProgrammesMIP4Adapt, the platform supporting the implementation of the EU Mission on Adaptation to Climate Change, is inviting climate adaptation experts from across Europe to express their interest in joining a new Roster of Experts. The initiative aims to strengthen knowledge exchange, collaboration and implementation support across Europe’s climate adaptation community.
The Roster of Experts forms part of the EU Mission on Adaptation’s efforts to strengthen knowledge exchange, collaboration and implementation support across Europe's climate adaptation community. The roster will bring together specialists from research, policy, and practice to support climate adaptation action across the Mission Community. It will help connect regional and local Authorities, Mission Projects and other stakeholders with trusted expertise, while creating opportunities for experts to contribute to Mission activities and knowledge sharing.
Applications received by 31 July 2026 will be reviewed as part of the first assessment round, with successful applicants being included in the initial launch of the roster in September. The METHYLOMIC project, ‘targeting hope for personalised medicine in immune-mediated inflammatory diseases’ obtained funding from Horizon Europe’s Health Cluster. The project aims to personalise treatment allocation and enhance the effectiveness of medications for chronic immune-mediated diseases such as Crohn’s disease, rheumatoid arthritis, and psoriasis. BIRD, the Belgian inflammatory bowel disease research and development group, is a partner in the project and is involved in the OmiCrohn trial, a prospective randomised clinical trial for individualised therapy in Crohn’s disease patients. With BIRD’s active role in this trial, the project is set to deliver predictive, biomarker-based therapies that bring renewed hope for Crohn’s disease patients across Europe.
