ProgrammesThe European Commission has published a call for tenders for EU Code Week activities covering 2027 to 2030. The contract is designed to support coding education, learning resources, outreach, community building and IT system development across Europe.
The new contract aims to strengthen the EU Code Week community, attract more young people, help teachers use coding across subjects, improve coding and computational thinking skills, expand learning resources and training, increase outreach and registered activities, and support greater participation by girls in coding and digital skills development.
The successful contractor would be expected to run communication and engagement campaigns, manage and grow the community, develop learning resources, organise training and events, operate and develop the Code Week IT system, and monitor impact.
The opportunity is relevant for organisations with experience in digital education and skills, communication and outreach, and IT systems development and operation.

Thousands of end users work directly with Luciad’s geospatial applications, and major systems integrators (think Airbus Defense and Space, Lufthansa Systems, NATO, Thales…) incorporate its software in their own products.
NCP Flanders went to Leuven to interview Frederic Houbie, the Research Projects Manager at Luciad, about how he sees Horizon 2020. Luciad is a partner in the MARISA project, which is a collaborative RIA project submitted to an ICT call topic.
