The STEP funding dashboard is an interactive guide, offering a continuously updated state-of-play of funding opportunities supported by the EU budget and dedicated to projects related to strategic technologies contributing to STEP objectives.

STEP seeks to reinforce, leverage and steer EU funds – existing and new – to investments in deep and digital, clean and bio technologies in the EU, and in people who can implement those technologies into the economy.

With this dashboard you can explore calls for proposals by technological area, timeframe, funding arrangements and more.

Notice that currently the first EIC STEP Scale-up call is out. SMEs can apply for equity financing, with funding from €10 to €30 million aiming to leverage pricate co-investment. More information on the conditions for applying can be found here.

This scheme is designed for companies seeking major funding rounds. A single SME or small mid-cap (up to 499 employees) established within a Member State or Horizon Europe Associated Country can apply. Also an investor may submit a proposal on behalf of an eligible SME or small mid-cap.

BEAT-AF - Ground-Breaking Electroporation-based intervention for Atrial Fibrillation treatment

The Horizon2020 project BEAT-AF brings together 9 European renowned clinical centres in France, Belgium, Czechia, Germany and Austria. Together, the consortium strives to revolutionize Atrial Fibrillation (AF) treatment through catheter ablation and contribute to decrease the huge burden of AF in Europe. The BEAT-AF project kicked off in 2021 and will run until 2026. The department of electrophysiology of the AZ Sint-Jan Hospital in Bruges is partner in the project and has so far contributed to the pre-clinical development, the first in man studies and first registries of the revolutionary AF treatment put forward by the consortium. The first pilot studies show that the treatment is safe, effective and efficient.
