ProgrammesAs part of their 30th anniversary in 2026, the Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions (MSCA) are teaming up with Frontiers for Young Minds (FYM) to publish a special collection on “Young researchers who will change the world”. FYM is a non-profit linked to the scientific journal Frontiers. Its goal is to make cutting-edge science discoveries available to younger audiences.
The MSCA is looking for 12 excellent abstracts (between 200 and 300 words) from young MSCA fellows that will later be turned into 12 engaging short papers (1500 words) with the help of young students between the ages of 8 to 15. This call is for young MSCA fellows (PhD candidates, postdoctoral researchers or research and innovation staff). The submissions deadline is 31 July 2025, 12.00, CEST.

The MareGraph project, ‘Towards an Interoperable Marine Knowledge Graph’, obtained funding under the Digital Europe topic ‘OPEN-AI – Public Sector Open Data for AI and Open Data Platform’. The project will increase the semantic, technical, and legal interoperability of three selected high-valued datasets (HVDs) all maintained by the Flanders Marine Institute (VLIZ), which is one of the four partners of the project. This will allow the onboarding of essential marine datasets in the Common European Data Spaces. As such MareGraph will provide a structural component in the digital transition of the marine landscape. The numerous impacts of the project will benefit our seas globally in old and new ways to come.
