The EIT publishes study about their economic Impact for Europe

The European Institute of Innovation and Technology (EIT) has presented the 2026 Comprehensive Impact Study of the EIT, outlining the economic and societal impacts generated by the first eight EIT Knowledge and Innovation Communities from their establishment until 2024.

The study, conducted by an independent external contractor, provides an assessment of the EIT’s contribution to European competitiveness and the delivery of EU policy priorities. You can consult the study here.

GLAUKOS - Circular Solution for the Textile Industry

Bio Base Europe Pilot Plant coordinated the Glaukos project, which answered the call topic published in 2019 of Horizon 2020 Framework Programme ‘Develop bio-based fibres and/or functional molecules to improve the performance of textile products’ under the Framework of the Bio-based Industries Joint Undertaking (BBI JU). The consortium partners took up this challenge by valorising industrial side streams and setting up a circular approach to the textile industry.
