This event called "Blue-Green lab: building tomorrow's projects" is organised by the Polish agency for research and innovation (NCBR). It is a two-day lunch-to-lunch event dedicated to building strong international project consortia under Horizon Europe 2027 (Cluster 5, Cluster 6 and Mission Ocean).

The programme consists of a strong variation of activities  in casu short strategic inputs, pitching sessions, a matchmaking, thematic working sessions and assistance in identifying the right calls for proposals. 

It focuses thematically on the combination of blue & green approaches such as 

  • Water & Ocean Resilience (Flagship Path)
  • Circular & Blue Value Chains (including blue food)
  • Nature-Based Solutions & Biodiversity
  • Climate-Smart Land Systems & Monitoring

ATHENA - Cybersecurity for the water sector

The ATHENA project addresses emerging risks for the water sector in operational technology created by digitalisation. The project responds to Digital Europe call DIGITAL-ECCC-2022-CYBER-03-UPTAKE-CYBERSOLUTIONS – Uptake op Innovative Cybersecurity Solutions. The project started in September 2023 and will run until November 2026. De Vlaamse Waterweg - The Flemish Waterway participates in the project to enhance the resilience of the organisation by co-developing targeted training modules for operational technology environments.
