The EUDIS Business Accelerator has opened applications for its third cohort, with a deadline of 30 May 2026. The eight-month programme is designed to start in September 2026 and support 20 start-ups and scale-ups developing defence or dual-use technologies. It is open to companies based in EU Member States or Norway.

After earlier cohorts launched in June 2025 and March 2026, the EUDIS Business Accelerator is now opening its third edition. The programme is designed to run for eight months from September 2026 and aims to help 20 high-potential start-ups and scale-ups strengthen their position in the European defence innovation ecosystem.

Selected participants are expected to receive tailored coaching and training from dedicated coaches and defence-sector experts, take part in five in-person bootcamps across Europe, and gain networking opportunities with industry leaders, end users and investors.

The programme also includes a seed funding voucher of €120,000 based on progress during the accelerator, as well as an additional reward voucher for the strongest-performing participants.

The call is open to start-ups and scale-ups established in EU Member States or Norway that are developing defence or dual-use technologies. An online information webinar is scheduled for 29 April 2026.

The Horizon2020 project BEAT-AF brings together 9 European renowned clinical centres in France, Belgium, Czechia, Germany and Austria. Together, the consortium strives to revolutionize Atrial Fibrillation (AF) treatment through catheter ablation and contribute to decrease the huge burden of AF in Europe. The BEAT-AF project kicked off in 2021 and will run until 2026. The department of electrophysiology of the AZ Sint-Jan Hospital in Bruges is partner in the project and has so far contributed to the pre-clinical development, the first in man studies and first registries of the revolutionary AF treatment put forward by the consortium. The first pilot studies show that the treatment is safe, effective and efficient.
