Applications to EIT Digital's "Open Innovation Factory 2023" programme are open for early-stage deep tech startups to accelerate their growth and attract investment.
EIT Digital foresees continuous intake of proposals throughout 2023 with two pre-defined cut-off dates: 15 May 2023 and 13 November 2023.
Focusing on five key areas - Digital Tech, Digital Industry, Digital Cities, Digital Wellbeing, and Digital Finance - the programme is set to propel innovation within the European digital ecosystem.
In addition to financial support of up to 400,000 euros from EIT Digital, selected applicants will receive assistance in attracting follow-up investors and customers, mentoring and coaching by seasoned industry experts and access to a pan-European ecosystem of over 350 partners from businesses, research institutions, investors, and the public sector.

Professor Inez Germeys leads the Center for Contextual Psychiatry at KU Leuven, which is a large multi-disciplinary research group focusing on the interaction between the person and the environment in the development of psychopathology. She has received a European Research Council (ERC) Consolidator grant (INTERACT) and Proof of Concept grant (IMPACT). With these grants professor Germeys and her team researched a new mobile self-management therapy for patients with a psychotic disorder. The Acceptance and Commitment Therapy in Daily Life (ACT-DL) was further developed for the clinical environment. In line with that the Horizon 2020 IMMERSE project aims to thoroughly evaluate strategies, processes, and outcomes of implementing a digital mobile mental health solution.
