EIT launches the AI challenge 2025

The European Institute of Innovation and Technology (EIT) works to promote innovation across Europe by connecting businesses, education, and research. It focuses on addressing societal challenges through technology and entrepreneurship.

The EIT has set-up multiple communities which aim at cross-sectoral fertilisation of ideas. One of the newest additions is the EIT AI community. To foster bold ideas, this community has now launched The AI Challenge 2025 allowing teams to compete in creating innovative AI applications that can tackle various issues. There is at the same time a call out to cities, corporates, public institutions and other stakeholders to submit their pressing data- and AI-related challenges so this is really a call that works in both directions. This should result in a matchmaking engine to put Europe's brightest minds to work on your most complex problems!

Funded under Horizon Europe (HORIZON-CL5-2022-D5-01-02), running from 2023 to 2026, AENEAS advanced the development of innovative electric energy storage solutions tailored for waterborne transport. The project has also created tools & platforms to support the optimal integration of new energy storage systems into vessels, assess their impact on overall system efficiency, and quantify potential reductions in greenhouse gas emissions.
