Programmes Digital, Industry & SpaceThe partnership will boost research, innovation, standardisation and skills development, and encourage the adoption of virtual worlds. It will play a key part in strengthening Europe's technological autonomy, ensuring that developments in virtual worlds reflect EU values and fundamental rights.
The partnership is underpinned by €200 million Horizon Europe financial support between 2025-27, to be complemented with at least €200 million by virtual worlds association members.

GenderSAFE, funded by Horizon Europe under call topic HORIZON-WIDERA-2023-ERA-01-09, is a project that advances efforts to implement a zero-tolerance approach to gender-based violence in higher education and research in the European Research Area. This overall objective will be achieved through a five-fold strategy. The project exists of a European-wide consortium of six partners.
