Update: AGRARIAN Call #1 is now open
AGRARIAN 1st Open Call aims to attract and engage SMEs/Universities/Research Centers/NGOs with expertise in developing innovative applications and services related to agriculture, which will be tested and validated within AGRARIAN framework.
This is a cascade call organised in the framework of a project funded by the EU’s Horizon Europe research and innovation program under Grant Agreement no. 101134128.
Proposals are expected to address innovative solutions/services, AI based applications and new IoTs, related to one of the three pilots (Livestock, Field Crops, and Viticulture).
The following types of Applications/Solutions (but not limited to) are expected to be funded:
- Innovative Agricultural Tools
- Sustainable Farming Solutions
- Climate Resilience and Adaptation
- Digital Solutions and Smart Farming
The proposed Applications/Solutions should:
- be in line with AGRARIAN research topics and fall into one of the three Pilots (Livestock, Field Crops and Viticulture pilots).
- be able to be tested and evaluated on one of the provided AGRARIAN testbeds (see below) or exploit the agricultural dataset provided by AGRARIAN
- be edge based deployments, i.e. run at the edge nodes of the AGRARIAN testbeds infrastructure
- address real-world agricultural problems
- have high agricultural and social impact
Total funding available: 400 000,00 € (8 Potential Projects / 50,000 € per entity)

AI4Culture - Empowering Cultural Heritage through Artificial Intelligence
The AI4Culture project, funded under Digital Europe call Data space for cultural heritage (deployment) aims to develop an online capacity building hub for AI technologies in the cultural heritage sector. This hub contributes to the creation of the European common cultural heritage data space, which provides support to the digital transformation of Europe’s cultural sector and fosters the creation and reuse of content in cultural and creative sectors. The Flemish company CrossLang is one of the 12 partners in the project and brings in its year-long expertise in the development of multilingual technology to the transcription and translation of scanned printed and handwritten documents.
