Directorate-General Competition (DG COMP) of the European Commission organises a webinar in the context of the on-going revision of the General Block Exemption Regulation (GBER)

DG Competition (DG COMP) invites stakeholders to participate in this reality check in the form of an online workshop targeting topics in the area of State aid for research and development (R&D) concerning the ongoing review of Regulation (EU) No 651/2014 of 17 June 2014 declaring certain categories of aid compatible with the internal market in application of Articles 107 and 108 of the Treaty – the General Block Exemption Regulation (GBER).

The workshop will address the following topics:

  • Applied research
  • Aid for testing and experimentation infrastructures
  • Pass-on mechanism

It will entail a short introduction by DG COMP and will give the possibility to the participants to provide targeted comments on the proposal for a revised GBER, in view of their experiences with the highlighted topics.
