This online matchmaking event is designed for potential European Defence Fund applicants who want to find partners and prepare for the 2026 EDF calls. It includes a morning webinar on do’s and don’ts in EDF 2026, followed by bilateral matchmaking meetings. Participants can also use the event to speak with National Focal Points about project scope, funding rates, partner suitability and costs.

Participants can create a new profile or reuse one from earlier editions. After registration, they get access to a catalogue of potential partners and can send and receive meeting requests for discussions taking place during the event.

The morning webinar is scheduled as a preparatory session on practical points for EDF 2026 proposals. The matchmaking sessions are intended to help potential applicants build consortia and discuss proposal-related questions with relevant contacts, including NFPs.

MareGraph - Towards an Interoperable Marine Knowledge Graph

The MareGraph project, ‘Towards an Interoperable Marine Knowledge Graph’, obtained funding under the Digital Europe topic ‘OPEN-AI – Public Sector Open Data for AI and Open Data Platform’. The project will increase the semantic, technical, and legal interoperability of three selected high-valued datasets (HVDs) all maintained by the Flanders Marine Institute (VLIZ), which is one of the four partners of the project. This will allow the onboarding of essential marine datasets in the Common European Data Spaces. As such MareGraph will provide a structural component in the digital transition of the marine landscape. The numerous impacts of the project will benefit our seas globally in old and new ways to come.
