The forum is the flagship event of the European civil protection community. It brings together policymakers, civil protection authorities, first responders, practitioners, researchers and other stakeholders from across Europe and beyond to exchange knowledge, strengthen cooperation, and discuss the future of European civil protection.

The 9th European Civil Protection Forum is designed to bring together the European civil protection community for discussions, knowledge exchange and cooperation across policy and practice. The 2026 theme is "Preparing today, ready for tomorrow."

The agenda will cover relevant topics for Cluster 3 stakeholders, such as: 

  • Advancing Integrated Wildfire Risk Management: Governance and Innovation
  • Advancing Integrated All-Hazards Approaches
  • Operationalising Preparedness and Resilience: Insights from Ukraine
  • From Forecast to Action: Innovative Early Warning Systems for Civil Protection
  • Innovations for Crisis Management: Bringing Drones and Ground Robots into Action
