This full-day event looks at how Europe can use artificial intelligence to strengthen cybersecurity and support innovation. It brings together EU-funded projects, industry, researchers, policymakers and public authorities to discuss emerging technologies, policy developments and cooperation opportunities.
Organised by the European Cybersecurity Competence Centre (ECCC) and the European Commission’s DG CNECT, the event is designed to explore how advanced AI technologies can be used safely and responsibly in cybersecurity. Discussions are framed by the EU Action Plan on Cybersecurity and Artificial Intelligence, with reference to other European initiatives such as the Apply AI Strategy.
The programme focuses on two complementary aspects: the ECCC AI for Cybersecurity Cluster and the EU Grand Challenge on AI-assisted vulnerability remediation.
The programme covers EU funding for AI in cybersecurity, synergies between projects across Europe, AI-assisted vulnerability discovery and remediation, and the use of AI in security operations alongside the evolving regulatory landscape. It also marks the first public gathering of the ECCC AI for Cybersecurity Cluster, which brings together three Horizon Europe flagship projects funded under the 2025 call on generative AI for cybersecurity applications. Relevant Digital Europe Programme cybersecurity projects may also contribute.
Target group: EU-funded projects, industry, researchers and policymakers
Participation is open subject to venue capacity and registration requirements. Registration is available until 21 October 2026 (17:00 (CEST)) via the event website.
We offer news and event updates, covering all domains and topics of Horizon Europe, Digital Europe & EDF (and occasionally, for ongoing projects, Horizon 2020).

EURHISFIRM designs a world-class research infrastructure (RI) to connect, collect, collate, align, and share detailed, reliable, and standardized long-term financial, governance, and geographical data on European companies. EURHISFIRM enables researchers, policymakers, and other stakeholders to develop and evaluate effective strategies to promote investment, economic growth and job creation. The RI provides the tools for long-term analysis highlighting the dynamics of the past and the way those dynamics structure our present and future.
The EURHISFIRM European project received € 3.4 million in financing from the European Commission through the H2020-INFRADEV-2017-1 research infrastructures call. The project started with a consortium of eleven research organisations (including University of Antwerp) from seven European countries.
