The EUDIS Defence Hackathon aims to gather local hosts to organise the DEFENDING AIRSPACE hackathon from 26 to 28 March 2026. This event will take place simultaneously in eight European countries and is designed for diverse entities such as universities and businesses to participate as hosts.

Organisers are currently seeking eight local hosts, including public or private entities, accelerators, incubators, and military test sites. Each selected host will receive increased funding of €60,000 to support the event and the necessary technical equipment.

Furthermore, host entities will have the flexibility to define one of the hackathon's challenges themselves.

An online information session is scheduled for 12 January 2026, at 11:30 CET, with the link to be shared in early January.

The deadline for submitting applications is 25 January 2026 at 23:59 CET. More information can be found here: https://Join our upcoming edition - March 2026 - Eudis Defence Hackathon. and in the applicant guide: EUDIS-2026-Guide-for-Applicants_vFinal-1.pdf.

The project responds to Digital Europe call DIGITAL-ECCC-2022-CYBER-03-UPTAKE-CYBERSOLUTIONS – Uptake op Innovative Cybersecurity Solutions. The project started in September 2023 and will run until November 2026. De Vlaamse Waterweg - The Flemish Waterway participates in the project to enhance the resilience of the organisation by co-developing targeted training modules for operational technology environments.
