This event is organised by the Flemish knowledge center for citizen science Scivil, the EU-funded project European Citizen Science (ECS) and the European Citizen Science Association (ECSA). The fair offers an opportunity to get to know 27 projects and the people behind the science (list of participants). You can expect exhibitions & showcases, live demos and meet & talks. The fair has a free entrance and is open to everyone interested.

Highlights from the Citizen Science Fair will be presented at the Cluster Event “Advancing Public Engagement and Citizen Science in the European Research Area” on 19 June. This event brings together policymakers and citizen science projects to strengthen the impact of public engagement in research.

Funded by Horizon Europe, under call topic HORIZON-WIDERA-2021-ERA-01-80, INSPIRE is Europe's Centre of Excellence on inclusive gender equality in research and innovation. It relies on four Knowledge and Support Hubs to create knowledge in the areas of sustaining change, widening participation, intersectionality and innovation. Moreover, it supports stakeholders in their journey to become more inclusive through 12 Communities of Practice. In this way, INSPIRE aims to develop both cutting-edge knowledge and innovative strategies for gender equality in the European Research Area. INSPIRE brings together 14 partners. The Belgian partner in this project is UHasselt.
