Tentative dates ERC Calls 2023 announced

The tentative dates of the ERC Calls under Work Programme 2023 have been announced. After two years of calls following an untypical schedule, the calendar is now intended to return to normal. Take into account that these dates are subject to change, because the Programme still has to be approved officially. 

2023 Calls Calendar:

  • Starting Grant (ERC-2023-StG) opens on 12/07/2022 and closes on 25/10/2022
  • Consolidator Grant (ERC-2023-CoG) opens on 28/09/2022 and closes on 02/02/2023
  • Advanced Grant (ERC-2023-AdG) opens on 08/12/2022 and closes on 23/05/2023
  • Synergy Grant (ERC-2023-SyG) opens on 13/07/2022 and closes on 08/11/2022
  • Proof of Concept Grant (ERC-2023-PoC) opens on 20/10/2022 with cut-off dates on 24/01/2023, 20/04/2023 and 14/09/2023

YoPA – Youth-centered participatory action for a healthy lifestyle

The YoPA project, ‘a youth-centred preventive action approach towards co-created implementation of socially and physically activating environmental interventions’ obtained funding from Horizon Europe’s Health Cluster. The project addresses the multifaceted challenges of physical inactivity and health inequalities through a unique participatory approach. The project places teenagers between 12 and 18 years old in vulnerable situations at the forefront of the intervention process. The Institute of Tropical Medicine is a partner in the project and will conduct a Realist Evaluation to understand how youth co-creation contributes to improved adolescent health and well-being in four cities in Denmark, Netherlands, Nigeria and South Africa.  By integrating its results and sharing its approach in an open access Toolbox, ITM aims to contribute to fostering sustainable, youth-led solutions for healthier urban environments.
