EC launches European Partnership for Virtual Worlds

The partnership will boost research, innovation, standardisation and skills development, and encourage the adoption of virtual worlds. It will play a key part in strengthening Europe's technological autonomy, ensuring that developments in virtual worlds reflect EU values and fundamental rights.

The partnership is underpinned by €200 million Horizon Europe financial support between 2025-27, to be complemented with at least €200 million by virtual worlds association members.
