The European Commission is organizing a conference on 6 and 7 Octorber 2022, in cooperation with the Centre for Economic Policy Research (CEPR) and the European Economic Review, which will bring together researchers and policymakers to discuss innovative research on the COVID crisis' legacies such as public debt and inequality and on how to deal with the consequences of the crisis.
The organisers have launched a call for research papers. Selected papers will be presented at the conference and will be considered for a European Economic Review special issue titled “The COVID-shock and the new macroeconomic
landscape: taking stock and looking ahead". The deadline for submitting papers is 1 May 2022.

Professor Lieven Eeckhout’s main research interests include computer architecture and the hardware/software interface with a specific emphasis on performance evaluation and modeling, and dynamic resource management.
Professor Eeckhout is the recipient of a European Research Council (ERC) Starting grant, Advanced grant and three Proof of Concept grants. Two of his former PhD students founded in 2013 CoScale, a spin-off in data center monitoring, which was acquired by New Relic.
