The knowledge and innovation community on raw materals (EIT raw materials) has published its call for proposals for projects to start in 2023. This year, for the first time, EIT Raw Materials has expanded this call to non-members. Everybody is encouraged to submit new project proposals that will generate a significant impact on European industrial competitiveness, innovation capacity and human capital, as well as empower students and entrepreneurs driving towards the circular economy, the digital transition and the contribution towards the EU Green Deal goals.

The procedure is in two stages to make sure initial ideas can be adapted and be more refined before the final submission date. The draft proposal and the expression of interest should therefore be submitted by the 31st of May 2022 and the final submission date is the 14th of September 2022. All documents and explanation of the call can be found here

AI4Culture - Empowering Cultural Heritage through Artificial Intelligence

The AI4Culture project, funded under Digital Europe call Data space for cultural heritage (deployment) aims to develop an online capacity building hub for AI technologies in the cultural heritage sector. This hub contributes to the creation of the European common cultural heritage data space, which provides support to the digital transformation of Europe’s cultural sector and fosters the creation and reuse of content in cultural and creative sectors. The Flemish company CrossLang is one of the 12 partners in the project and brings in its year-long expertise in the development of multilingual technology to the transcription and translation of scanned printed and handwritten documents.
