On 8 January, the European Partnership for Brain Health has launched two calls for proposals for multinational translational research projects:

  • JTC2026 Call 1: Biological, social and environmental factors that impact the trajectory of brain health across the lifespan – in the field of neurological, mental and sensory disorders

  • JTC2026 Call 2: Biological, social and environmental factors that impact the trajectory of brain health across the lifespan – in the field of neurodegenerative disorders

The EP BrainHealth invites applications to combine a holistic approach to brain health with in-depth biological understanding. The aim of the call is to facilitate multinational, collaborative and interdisciplinary research that addresses critical translational questions.

Applications addressing risk factors that are shared between mental health, neurological, mental and sensory disorders on the one hand, and neurodegenerative disorders on the other are encouraged and should be submitted to the call that best suits their project. Please note that applying with the same proposal to both EP BrainHealth calls is not allowed.

More detailed information about both calls (aim & scope, requirements, eligibility, application procedure etc.), is available here

Research Foundation Flanders (FWO) participates in this call. More information on available funding for researchers based in Flanders and on how to apply will become available soon on the FWO websitePre-proposal deadline for both calls is 10 March 2026 (14 CET). Questions on available funding by FWO?
