The Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU) Brussels Office organises a new webinar within its webinar series 'One hour with Europe': Exploring the new Horizon Europe proposal: What's next for EU research? They will be joined by Massimiliano Esposito (Head of Unit at DG RTD for Common Strategic Planning & Programming Service).

This webinar will take place online at 23 September 2025, from 12:00 to 13:00.

Possible discussion items include:

  • the position of the European Parliament and the Council of the EU
  • implementation dynamics in synergy with ECF
  • which instruments will be continued and how
  • what role research and innovation actors can play in the proposal definition

ERC grants for UGent professor Lieven Eeckhout

Professor Lieven Eeckhout’s main research interests include computer architecture and the hardware/software interface with a specific emphasis on performance evaluation and modeling, and dynamic resource management.

Professor Eeckhout is the recipient of a European Research Council (ERC) Starting grant, Advanced grant and three Proof of Concept grants. Two of his former PhD students founded in 2013 CoScale, a spin-off in data center monitoring, which was acquired by New Relic.
