This onsite matchmaking event organised by NEB4All - the European network of NEB NCPs – aims to help potential applicants to find partners and to build a consortium for the 2026 calls of the NEB Facility Work Programme 2026-2027.

What to expect?

  • Welcoming words by the JRC and the NEB4All NCP network
  • Pitching sessions to give visibility to project ideas
  • One-to-One meetings to find project partners and build a consortium

Target audience: Universities, research centres, municipalities, companies (SMEs & large), civil society organisations, cultural and creative actors, and any R&D-focused stakeholders ready to co-create for the NEB initiative.

Potential applicants are invited to register on the matchmaking platform if they are interested in joining this event. To be validated and secure a spot during the onsite matchmaking, they need to comply with some quality criteria (details described on the platform).

For applicants that can’t make it to Brussels, note that the onsite event will be followed by online long-term matchmaking. They will thus be able to join the participant pool at a later stage.

This matchmaking event complements the NEB Facility Info Day that will be organised by the European Commission on 24 February 2026.

BEAT-AF - Ground-Breaking Electroporation-based intervention for Atrial Fibrillation treatment

The Horizon2020 project BEAT-AF brings together 9 European renowned clinical centres in France, Belgium, Czechia, Germany and Austria. Together, the consortium strives to revolutionize Atrial Fibrillation (AF) treatment through catheter ablation and contribute to decrease the huge burden of AF in Europe. The BEAT-AF project kicked off in 2021 and will run until 2026. The department of electrophysiology of the AZ Sint-Jan Hospital in Bruges is partner in the project and has so far contributed to the pre-clinical development, the first in man studies and first registries of the revolutionary AF treatment put forward by the consortium. The first pilot studies show that the treatment is safe, effective and efficient.
