Purpose and Scope

Today, nutrient imbalances are a growing threat to environmental sustainability, food security, and economic stability across Europe: excessive nitrogen and phosphorus from agriculture, wastewater, and industry have led to severe ecological consequences, including soil degradation, water pollution, and biodiversity loss.

To tackle this issue, GREENHOOD will demonstrate innovative nutrient management strategies through large-scale demonstrations in 4 key regions, located in 4 different River basins across Europe, each facing a specific nutrient imbalance challenge.

Who should attend?

Farmers, public authorities, agrifood industries, wastewater treatment plants, aquaculture operators based in one of the four demo-regions (Belgium, The Netherlands, Spain, Norway, Finland).

Why attend?

This webinar is an opportunity to learn how GREENHOOD will have a concrete impact on the global challenge of unbalanced nutrient flows. Attendees will be able to understand the different challenges that each region is facing, and will have a comprehensive overview of the possible solutions - including nutrient management strategies, regional circular economy schemes and innovative governance measures.

Please check the dedicated event page via this link to access the full agenda of this webinar and register for it.

*GREENHOOD is a four-year Horizon Europe Innovation Action funded under Cluster 6: "Zero Pollution — Demonstrating how regions can operate within safe ecological and regional nitrogen and phosphorus boundaries."

PBNv2 - a MSCA ITN in the field of automotive R&D

The Marie Skłodowska-Curie Action (MSCA) European Innovative Training Network “PBNv2 - Next generation Pass-By Noise approaches for new powertrain vehicles” started in May 2017. Their research has the shared objective of investigating the possibilities to decrease pass-by noise of vehicles.

The project is a collaboration between 17 research institutions and companies in the European automotive R&D and provides a learning environment for 14 PhD fellows. The Belgian partner is the Noise and Vibration Research Group of KU Leuven, and this project is one of the many Horizon 2020 MSCA Innovative Training Networks that the KU Leuven research group participates in.
