This online session looks at Financial Support for Third Parties (FSTP) in Horizon Europe, with a focus on digital topics. It covers the FSTP process from both funder and beneficiary perspectives, including current and upcoming calls in the Digital ecosystem, practical experience from project organisers, and testimonials from start-ups that received cascade funding. The programme ends with a Q&A session on questions and practical challenges.

The session is intended to give participants a practical overview of how cascade funding works in Horizon Europe and what applicants and scheme managers should look at when preparing or running FSTP actions. It also highlights the expected importance of FSTP in the 2027 Cluster 4 Digital Work Programme.

Participation is free of charge, but registration is mandatory. More information is available at https://www.euresearch.ch/en/our-services/inform/events/financial-support-for-third-parties-(fstp)-in-horizon-europe-1586.html

The event is co-organised by Euresearch and APRE, with support from the Idealist project.

AENEAS – Innovative energy storage systems onboard vessels

Funded under Horizon Europe (HORIZON-CL5-2022-D5-01-02), running from 2023 to 2026, AENEAS advanced the development of innovative electric energy storage solutions tailored for waterborne transport. The project has also created tools & platforms to support the optimal integration of new energy storage systems into vessels, assess their impact on overall system efficiency, and quantify potential reductions in greenhouse gas emissions. The project consortium, led by Flanders Make, consists of 14 partners from 8 countries. Read more about the project in this testimonial.
