The  European Mission Soil Week is an annual event promoting the Horizon Europe Mission 'A Soil Deal for Europe' (Mission Soil) raising awareness about the importance of soil health, and driving action to protect and restore our soils.

This edition of Mission Soil Week adds momentum to the ongoing efforts to improve soil health and provides the place to present and discuss how research and innovation (R&I) on soil health, and the Mission Soil in particular, contributes to:

  • Generate new knowledge
  • Harmonize soil monitoring
  • Co-design innovations and test solutions on the ground
  • Increase societal awareness and engagement
  • Support the green transition in more general terms

The event will allow participants to discover the first Mission Soil living labs and strengthen network collaboration. It will provide the opportunity to see inspiring examples of sustainable soil management by offering field visits to agricultural, forestry, urban and remediation sites.

You can find more information and register for this event at the dedicated event page.

ScreenME - Enhancing excellence in screen media entrepreneurship

The Horizon2020 twinning project ScreenME has as its objective to enhance excellence in screen media entrepreneurship at Tallinn University (TLU). To do so, ScreenME has established a network of universities across Europe that aim to improve research into and teaching of entrepreneurship for the screen media industry. ScreenME will develop a teaching course and will kick off research initiatives and projects on entrepreneurial activities in media organisations. The research group on ‘Studies in Media, Innovation and Technology (SMIT)’ of the Vrije Universiteit Brussel (VUB) is partner in the network and is involved in two cross-cutting activities of the project: support for early stage researchers and developing stakeholder involvement.
