ProgrammesA training proposal writing on the ERC Starting and Consolidator Grants 2026 calls for proposals is organised by NCP Flanders. The training is organised to support potential researchers and host institutions in the preparation of their ERC Starting and Consolidator Grant application at a host institution located in Flanders.
ERC Starting Grants are targeting researchers who have successfully defended their first PhD between 1 January 2019 and 31 December 2023 (inclusive). ERC Consolidator Grants are targeting researchers who have successfully defended their first PhD between 1 January 2014 and 31 December 2018 (inclusive). Please note the eligibility periods can be extended beyond 7 and 12 years for certain situations.
The amount of the grant is up to €1,5 million (Starting Grants) or €2 million (Consolidator Grants) for 5 years (or up to €2,5 million (Starting Grants) or €3 million (Consolidator Grants) in specific cases). More information can be found in the ERC work programme. The ERC Work Programme 2026 is not yet available so call opening dates and deadlines are not yet known. As in previous years publication of the work programme is expected in summer 2025. The 2026 ERC Starting and Consolidator Grant calls will become available after the publication of the work programme on the European Commission Funding and Tender Portal.
It is advised to potential applicants to also attend the ERC Starting and Consolidator Grants 2026 calls Belgian webinar on the call modalities which will take place on 14 May 2025.
Participation to this training is free of charge. Registration is required. Registrations will open next week on Tuesday 22 April in the afternoon.

The AI4Culture project, funded under Digital Europe call Data space for cultural heritage (deployment) aims to develop an online capacity building hub for AI technologies in the cultural heritage sector. This hub contributes to the creation of the European common cultural heritage data space, which provides support to the digital transformation of Europe’s cultural sector and fosters the creation and reuse of content in cultural and creative sectors. The Flemish company CrossLang is one of the 12 partners in the project and brings in its year-long expertise in the development of multilingual technology to the transcription and translation of scanned printed and handwritten documents.
