This first edition of the DIF-event is organised by the Department of Work, Economy, Science, Innovation and Social Economy in cooperation with VLAIO and Flanders Technology & Innovation (FTI) under the umbrella of the Flemish Innovation and Industry Strategy for Security and Defence (VISD).

It is designed to look at recent developments and future perspectives in defence innovation. The programme also aims to create opportunities for discussion and exchange with key people working at the intersection of technology, innovation and defence.

Defence Innovation in Flanders Day is being set up as a meeting point for people interested in defence innovation in Flanders. It is intended to cover recent developments in the field and to look ahead at future perspectives, while also giving participants space to exchange views and experiences with relevant stakeholders.

A formal invitation with more information on the programme and practical arrangements is expected to follow later.

Interested participants can save the date and contact VISD at visd@vlaanderen.be for interim questions.
