This conference will focus on the role of research networks in European research and innovation. It addresses current discussions around the European Research Area and FP10, including the role of widening, young researchers, inclusiveness, innovation and competitiveness.
The conference will bring together researchers, policymakers, research managers, and other stakeholders from across Europe to discuss and explore the latest developments in shaping the future of European research and innovation, with a particular focus on the European Research Area (ERA) and FP10. Discussions will look at how research networks can contribute to a more inclusive and impactful European R&I landscape.
The programme will include a keynote speech, discussions with speakers involved in shaping ERA and FP10, pitches from COST Action participants on what successful research networks need from FP10, and poster sessions showing COST Actions with policy impact. Programme details are due to be announced later via the COST website.

The MareGraph project, ‘Towards an Interoperable Marine Knowledge Graph’, obtained funding under the Digital Europe topic ‘OPEN-AI – Public Sector Open Data for AI and Open Data Platform’. The project will increase the semantic, technical, and legal interoperability of three selected high-valued datasets (HVDs) all maintained by the Flanders Marine Institute (VLIZ), which is one of the four partners of the project. This will allow the onboarding of essential marine datasets in the Common European Data Spaces. As such MareGraph will provide a structural component in the digital transition of the marine landscape. The numerous impacts of the project will benefit our seas globally in old and new ways to come.
